Don't Have a Slim Waist? Fake It!!

Hello people!!

Larger women want a waist and slimmer women want a slimmer waist. We are always trying to perfect our silhouettes. Here are some cool tips on how to make your waist appear smaller. You don't need to go out and buy new stuff. Just take what is available in your closet and try out any of these tricks!

1. High-Waisted Clothing

Pants, skirts and shorts that are high-waisted draw attention to the slimmest part of the waist and hide the belly bulge. The green skirt above does that successfully.

2. Illusion Design

Lines and the clever use of colour and pattern can create the illusion of a smaller waist.

3. Wear a Belt

If you have a lose top or dress that does nothing for your figure, add a belt at the slimmest part of your waist.

4. Wrap It Up!

Wear warp tops or dresses. These are usually cinched at the waist and flared below it.

5. Peplum Tops

A peplum  top is great for women who want to draw eyes to a smaller waist. Pair it with a pair of solid colour trousers and you are all set.

6. Crop Jackets

If you are wearing a long top, thrown on a short jacket that ends at your waist.

DIY: Perfect French Manicure With Scotch Tape!!

Hello people!!

If you don't think perfect french tips are possible at home, you are reading the right article. I use this really cool trick to get the most perfect french tips ever!!! Here is my secret! SCOTCH TAPE!

You need to work on one hand at a time. Cut up small pieces of tape and place a piece at the edge of your nail. Paint over each nail. The nail paint will not penetrate the area covered with the tape.

Wait for a good ten minutes and then grab an edge of the tape and it peel it off. VOILA! Salon-style french tips!

How to Wear a Long Tunic/ Kurta As a Dress

Heyyyy!!

So, I had this knee-length tunic that was just lying around. A tunic usually has a straight and loose fit. It does nothing to hide your flaws or flaunt your assets. You can take a solid-colour tunic and wear it as a dress. Follow these three steps.

Stitch The Slits

First, you need to stitch both slits on the side of the tunic (a tailor will take less than five minutes to do that).

Define Your Waist

Throw on a well-fitting shrug or a cool jacket above your tunic You can also add a belt.

Accessorize!

Add some cool accessories. I added a neck piece and a pair of hoops. Make sure that your accessories match. You can wear the dress will slacks, skinny jeans or simply as is.

REVIEW: Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Obessessed Orange

Hey!!!

Ok! So, after my recent experiment with red, I wanted to try out some orange on my lips. Not the subtle bronze orangish, the ORANGISH orange! A friend suggested Colorbar and I decided to try it out! I bought the ColorbarVelvet Matte Lipstick in Obsessed Orange from Myntra.com.

This lipstick suits the fair, medium and dark skin tones! YAY!

THE PACKAGING

I like the look of the product. It comes in a sleek, minimalist metal tube with a plastic cover.

THE PRODUCT

The lipstick has a creamy texture and is highly pigmented. You don't really want to get too much of it on your lips! I would recommend dabbing it on rather than gliding it on the lips. The lipstick stayed for 3-4 hours.

THE PRICE

I was surprised that the product is priced at Rs. 299 for 4.2 gms. Quite a bargain!

PROS

  • Creamy texture
  • Lovely orange
  • Affordable
  • Decent staying power
  • Suits all skin tones
  • Buildable colour

CONS

  • It bleeds a little
  • Has a mild smell

THE VERDICT

4 out of 5. Go for it!

Fashion Tips: How to Wear an Unpressed Shirt and Still Look Fabulous!!

Hey!!

There are several occasions when I throw on an unpressed shirt- either I don't have the time or I simply choose to go unconventional!

Here are a few tips what you can do to look good in an unpressed shirt. You would need one or a combination of these tips to make it work.

1. KEEP YOUR HAIR OPEN

So, this is my unpressed shirt that got some time ago from Myntra.com. If you have a shirt that you fill out well, many of the wrinkles will not be visible. What you need to do is then to hide the ones at the back. I do that by keeping my hair open.

2. WEAR A MASSIVE SCARF

I usually pair this shirt with a scarf. It adds a layer to my outfit.

3. ROLL UP THE SLEEVES

If your sleeves are too wrinkly, roll them up. Great for the summer too!

4. ADD A LAYER BELOW THE SHIRT

Wear a tank top or a spaghetti top under your shirt and keep it open. This helps to fill out the shirt and smooth out the wrinkles. Also, the movement of the open shirt will help make the wrinkles less visible.

5. WEAR A SLING BAG ACROSS YOUR SHOULDERS

Wearing a sling across the shoulders, in any case, creates wrinkles on your shirt. So, you might think of wearing one!

6. WEAR SOMETHING OVER YOUR SHIRT

This is the most effective way to hide your wrinkly shirt! The blue top is gathered at the waist and is perfect for this purpose.

7. WEAR A BELT

A belt defines your waist, but it can also make the shirt wrinkles seem 'created'.

Waiting for your comments!! Give me some new ideas!!

Love!!!
